※Experience
Dr. Hung-Wen Chen is currently an associate professor in iPHD program at NTHU, with joint appointments in the Institute of Photonics Technologies and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. He was selected as a Yushan Young Scholar in 2020. After completing his Ph.D. at MIT, he founded a startup in Wuhan Optical Valley in 2014. In 2016, he joined the Delta Research Center of Delta Electronics, Inc., where he established the Advanced Green Photonics Center and focused on the development of innovative optical inspection and intelligent laser soldering systems. His current research group specializes in ultra-precision laser machining, integrating artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation to deliver highly interdisciplinary system solutions for smart manufacturing and smart healthcare applications.
