Course Description:

It is a common adage that ‘Employees leave managers not companies’.

Understanding and knowing how to manage people is crucial to a successful career in many different fields. This course is intended to provide you with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of management in the modern era. The course will focus on several topics from the world of the manager in the organizational setting. Main topics to be discussed include: managerial roles and skills, goal setting, performance measurement, decision-making processes. For each subject, you will be exposed to theories, research and real-world case studies and dilemmas.

Important takeaways from this course include: developing managerial language, thinking and vision; acquiring practical managerial tools to implement effective managerial behaviors; understanding the context and conditions of effective management; mastering the complexity of the interaction between organization, environment, technology, and human resources; and understanding the challenges of management in the 21st century.
