114學年度第2學期跨院國際博士班學位學程資格考試初審申請

申請對象預計於本學期進行資格考試口試者

提醒!
1.各學年入學者均須通過學程資格考試初審 (博士論文計畫考試)始能進行(正式)資格考試
2.資格考試初審未通過者,可於三年級結束前(6學期)(或延長一學期/休學內)完成資格考初審。
3.各學年入學者均須於三年級結束前(6學期)完成(正式)資格考試;因故無法在第三學年內完成(正式)資格考申請者,得提出申請,經學程主任或相關會議同意後,得延長一學期完成(正式)資格考試。
4.(正式)資格考試未通過者,需於次學期結束前再次申請辦理。重考以一次為限,不及格者應即退學。

3.初審約需1個月左右,請申請人規劃後續進度時,務必預留初審時間。

**附件說明:

為使同學更清楚資格考初審之審查流程與內容,本公告隨附:

1. 110學年後入學審查流程圖(Flow chart for IPhD Qualifying Exam)
資格考初審原則(審查重點與口試委員名單規定初試委員名單由學程擬定。初試過後的資格考委員數人數,依照學則規定,
"同時指導教授含在委員數中"
計畫書審查小組會議說明(報告內容與委員問答流程)

*辦公室將另行通知"初審"審查方式、時間、地點,請準備 8-10 分鐘簡報向委員說明各跨領域連結、初步研究成果、研究進度規劃等

初審通果後才可舉行正式資格考,「(正式)資格考試」:公開口試,校內、外口試委員(含指導教授),依照學則規定,重考以一次為限。

正式資格考委員由學生自行聯繫口試日期、地點,請再提供中英資格考試日期時間及地點等資訊給所辦,並依申請時程進行資格考試。

 

2. 資格考試辦理程序 (資格考初試計畫書內容請見 2.Procedures資格考試辦理程序_110學年後入學跨院學生資格考試及審查小組原則說明.pdf)
請同學務必詳閱附件,以利準備相關申請與審查。

3. 人工智慧組須完成 (1)資格考試初審(博士論文計畫考試) 與 (2)修課資格考核(檢附成績單黃標課程。詳見人工智慧組研究生修業規定)。

※9月入學者最晚請於第三學年的6月30日前提出,2月入學者最晚請於第三學年
的12月31日前提出。

Preliminary Application for the Qualifying Examination, IPhD Program, Spring Semester, 2026

Eligibility: Students who plan to take the oral examination of the Qualifying Examination in this semester.

Reminder:
1. All students, regardless of admission year, must pass the Preliminary Qualification Examination (Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Review) before they are eligible to take the (formal) Qualification Examination.
2. Students who do not pass the Preliminary Qualification Examination must complete the re-submission and pass the preliminary review before the end of their third academic year (6 semesters), or within the one-semester extension period / within the approved leave period.
3. All students must complete the (formal) Qualification Examination before the end of their third academic year (6 semesters). Students who are unable to complete the formal Qualification Examination within the third year may apply for an extension. Upon approval by the Program Director or relevant committee, the deadline may be extended by one additional semester.
4. Students who fail the (formal) Qualification Examination must reapply and retake the examination before the end of the following semester. Only one retake is permitted. Students who fail the retake must withdraw from the program.

  • First batch application: March 16–20, 2026
  • Second batch application: May 11–15, 2026

*The office will notify applicants separately of the review format, time, and location. Students should prepare an 8–10 minute presentation to explain interdisciplinary connections, preliminary research results, and research progress planning to the committee.

3. The preliminary review takes approximately 1 month. Please be sure to allocate time for the preliminary review when planning your subsequent schedule.

To help students better understand the preliminary review process and requirements, this announcement includes:

1. Flow Chart for IPhD Qualifying Exam (for students admitted from Academic Year 2021 onwards), Review Principles (focus of review and committee member requirements), and Guidelines for the Proposal Review Meeting (report content and Q&A process).

*The list of committee members for the Preliminary Application for the Qualifying Examination is determined by the program. The number of qualifying examination committee members after the preliminary review shall be in accordance with the university regulations.

The office will separately notify you regarding the method, time, and location of the "Preliminary Review." Please prepare an 8-10 minute presentation to explain the interdisciplinary connections, preliminary research results, and research progress planning to the committee.

A "Formal Qualifying Examination" can only be held after passing the Preliminary Review. The Formal Qualifying Exam is a public oral defense. The committee includes internal and external members (including your advisor). According to university regulations, the exam may be retaken only once.

Students are responsible for coordinating the date and location with the committee members for the formal qualifying exam. Please provide the details (date, time, and location) in both Chinese and English to the program office, and proceed with the examination according to the application schedule.

 

2. Procedures for the Qualifying Examination. (For the content of the preliminary qualifying exam proposal, please refer to the attached file: "2.Procedures.pdf".)
Students are required to carefully read the attached documents to prepare their applications and reviews.

3. For students in the AI Division, completion of both (1) the Preliminary Review (Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Defense) and (2) the Coursework Qualification Review (see AI Division Graduate Study Regulations) is mandatory.

4. Request to Delay the Qualifying Exam Form

For September admissions, applications must be submitted prior to June 30th of your third academic
year. For February admissions, applications must be submitted prior to December 31st.
